So first things first, I have updated my Twitter account so it now matches my blog @TheLydiaReview so make sure you follow me there! I am going to try to post more recommendations, news, and tips on there more regularly.
It has been a while since I last posted (sorry!) mainly because of my awesome holiday (where this photo was taken) but I have some new post ideas on the way that you will hopefully enjoy. First, I thought it would be nice to share some of my latest song addictions in case you are looking for some new music!
Where Are Ü Now – Pentatonix (Cover)
You can probably tell from previous posts that I am a huge Pentatonix fan and when they released this song last week I was kind of doubtful because to be honest this song has been overplayed in my opinion. BUT then I played it, and the first 10 seconds alone were so magical it was enough to convince me that they could pull it off.
Rollercoaster – Bleachers
This song is from 2014 but I recently discovered it when CharlieXCX’s version was released. So to clarify, Bleachers released an album over a year ago with 11 tracks Strange Desires. This year they released another album with the same 11 tracks but sang by 11 other singers (including Sara Bareilles, Sia, Tinashe and more) called Terrible Thrills Vol 2. I haven’t decided which versions I like better so check both out and let me know what you think.
Fun fact: The lead singer and songwriter Jack Antonoff is also the guitarist in the band Fun and is also known for his collaborations with Taylor Swift on many of her songs.
Writing’s On The Wall – Sam Smith
Can’t Sleep Love – Pentatonix
Okay okay I know, Pentatonix again but this song is their first original song off their latest album and it is just so catchy, I couldn’t not include it! Before you say anything, check it out 🙂
Today’s The Day – P!nk
If you are looking for a happy pick-me-up song look no further! P!nk wrote the latest theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show and just like Ellen, you can’t help but smile when you hear it.
Victorious – Panic! At The Disco
You may have heard that they are releasing a new album! The first single was Hallelujah (released April this year) which I also really like! This is their next single off the upcoming album. It seems a bit different to their usual songs but I still like it.
So those were my latest 6 song recommendations. Let me know if you liked them or not. Also if there is something else you would like to hear more about let me know in the comments below! Also don’t forget to subscribe!
Love to all ❤
